On Friday, May 31, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Feeding Our Neighbors, an initiative of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, visited St. Helena’s in the Parkchester area of the Bronx, NY, and hosted a pop-up food distribution event for those in need.
Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, attended the event and spoke to each individual in need of assistance.
The event was directed by Lakisha Morris, Director of Operations for Catholic Charities Community Services, and served over 200 families in need.
"She is a saint in the heart of this city, one who lived and worked here," says Julia Attaway, executive director of St. Frances Cabrini Shrine.
