Con el objetivo de responder a las necesidades de la pastoral hispana, el Cardenal Francis Joseph Spellman, arzobispo de Nueva York, creó la oficina del Ministerio Hispano en 1958 para establecer programas enfocados en la comunidad hispana. Actualmente está bajo la dirección de Wanda Vásquez.

With the goal of responding to the needs of Hispanic pastoral care, Cardinal Francis Joseph Spellman, archbishop of New York, created the office of Hispanic Ministry in 1958 to establish programs focused on the Hispanic community. It is currently under the direction of Wanda Vasquez.
