El pasado 15 de marzo, el obispo Mark Seitz, obispo de la Diócesis Católica de El Paso y presidente del Comité de Inmigración de la Conferencia Episcopal de los Estados Unidos, visitó las oficinas de Caridades Católicas en la Parroquia de Santa Teresa. El obispo Seitz fue recibido por monseñor Kevin Sullivan, director ejecutivo de Caridades Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York, por el padre Alexis Bastidas, párroco de la parroquia de Santa Teresa, y por el grupo de liderazgo de Caridades Católicas. El grupo llevó al obispo Seitz a un recorrido por las oficinas de gestión de casos, donde conoció a un grupo de inmigrantes recién llegados.

On March 15, Bishop Mark Seitz, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of El Paso and Chair of the Immigration Committee of the United States Episcopal Conference, visited the offices of Catholic Charities in Sant Teresa’s Parish. Bishop Seitz was welcomed by Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, by Father Alexis Bastidas, Parish Priest of Sant Teresa’s Parish, and by the Catholic Charities leadership group. The group took Bishop Seitz on a tour of the case management offices where he met a group of newly arrived immigrants.

Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Reverend A.R. Bernard, and Imam Mehmet Ozalp took time to speak with The Good Newsroom about the importance of holding interfaith dialogues, as the topic of religious freedom can only be upheld if all religions can be free.
