Erin R. Dooley Shines a Light on Foster Care Adoption in Her New Short Film

The award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker is a former foster mother and volunteer with foster children. Drawing from her personal experiences, she created “Adopting Faith,” a short film that highlights the emotional and practical complexities of foster care adoption. The film emphasizes the importance of faith, support systems, and perseverance through difficult times.

In an interview with The Good Newsroom, Dooley discusses the challenges of fostering and the significance of faith and support in overcoming them.

“Unless we are very careful, we are the ghosts of Hiroshima,” said author Charles Pellegrino.
