It’s easy to chuckle at our Old Testament reading today, where the Israelites have been freed from Egypt by God’s miracles and are complaining about it. But there’s a part of each of us that yearns to return to sin as well. It’s only when we raise our eyes to the Cross that we can see the weight of sin and the extent of God’s love for us.
