As we journey deeper into Lent, we are invited to reflect on the ways God calls us to renewal, freedom, and hope. Last week, The Good Newsroom began a special five-part Lenten reflection series with the Sisters of Life, offering spiritual encouragement through the wisdom of these religious women. Mother Mary Concepta, S.V., opened the series with a reflection “Finding Freedom Through Fasting,” on exploring how sacrifice can deepen our dependence on God.

This week, Sister Marie Veritas, S.V., continues the series with a reflection on “The Freedom of Forgiveness.” Forgiveness is at the heart of the Lenten season, a time when we are called to reconciliation—both with God and with one another. Sister Veritas shares how embracing forgiveness can lead to healing, peace, and a renewed sense of hope.

These Lenten reflections, published every Friday, align with the theme of hope in this Jubilee Year of Hope, reminding us that God’s mercy is always available to those who seek it.

The magazine's list includes "leaders," "innovators," "shapers," and the group Pope Leo has been listed in, "thinkers."
