Focused on the portion of the Chilean Croatian artist’s time in New York on the Guggenheim Fellowship, “Love Made into Stone: Artwork by Lily Garafulic” gives a look into the breadth of work from Garafulic to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of her National Prize in Arts for Chile.
The exhibit will be open at the Janet Hennessey Dilenschneider Gallery from October 2 – 30 and you can plan your visit at this link.
The group is named for two patrons with causes for canonization underway: Staten Island's Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, and Sister Thea Bowman.
