Mary Lynch, Executive Director of Cardinal O’Connor Residence for Retired Priests, Steps Down After 26 Years of Dedicated Service

Mary Lynch has been the backbone of the center for retired priests for years, and her planned departure will leave the residents and staff searching for a spiritual replacement. The Good Newsroom got a chance to speak with Ms. Lynch about her time at the residence and hear from retired priests in residence about her positive impact as executive director.

“My motto for the buildings was always: ‘kindness to everybody,’ and that seems to have paid off,” said Lynch on the continued success at the center. And in fact, staff and residents alike proudly attributed her good attitude as a hallmark of her tenure at the Cardinal O’Connor Clergy Residence.

Monsignor Bellew and Father McCarthy were effusive in their praise for Lynch, and mentioned, “it’s like losing a family member.”
