On Saturday evening, the Filipino-American Catholic Community of Hudson Valley celebrated a beautiful Mass in honor of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage of Antipolo at the National Shrine Of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Middletown.

Bishop Efren Esmilla, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, was the principal celebrant and was joined by the Carmelite Prior Provincial Fr. Mario Esposito, diocesan priests, and Carmelite friars.

Near the altar stood the pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Antipolo. It is an official replica of a seventeenth-century wooden image of the Blessed Virgin Mary enshrined in Antipolo Cathedral in the Philippines that draws millions of pilgrims each year.

In his homily, given in English and Tagalog, Bishop Esmilla praised the faith and popular piety of the Filipino people.
