For the last three days, Jesus has made it very clear in the readings that there is a sobering reality for those who follow Him. If we follow Christ, our destination is the Resurrection, but first we have to pass through the cross.
The procession of the faithful through the streets of Manhattan was followed by a Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, which was celebrated by Cardinal Dolan. Reverend Luis F. Saldaña, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx, was the homilist.
