The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage has arrived in the archdiocese!
On Wednesday afternoon the official van pulled up to the first stop at St. John Bosco Parish in Port Chester carrying the perpetual pilgrims and the monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament.
Father Roger Landry, chaplain for the Seton Route, solemnly processed the Eucharist inside the church and led the faithful in adoration.
This pilgrimage going through our archdiocese is part of the Seton Route, one of four walking pilgrimages that are taking place across the country as part of the USCCB’s three-year Eucharistic revival.
All four routes will converge in Indianapolis this July for the National Eucharistic Congress (July 17-21).
The pilgrimage will be in the archdiocese for five days, making several stops along the way.
All are invited to take part. You can see the full itinerary here.
On Sunday, there will be a Eucharistic Procession and Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral with Cardinal Dolan.
