On July 30 in the heart of Manhattan, the faithful gathered at St. John the Baptist Parish to honor a humble and holy man – Blessed Solanus Casey.
Being called a “Blessed” means that on the road to sainthood, that person only has one more stop – the need for one more approved miracle. And judging by Blessed Solanus Casey’s fame for answering prayers, that might not take very much longer.
Work in Catholic tradition is a "place where we find meaning, purpose, identity, and value to express our dignity and creativity. I would be concerned that something could be lost there."
