Meet the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, nuns caring for terminally ill cancer patients who are unable to afford nursing care elsewhere.
The community was founded in 1900 by Rose Hawthorne, a convert to Catholicism and the daughter of American author, Nathaniel Hawthorne. We stopped by to learn more about the community and their work.
