The Reverend Monsignor William J. Foley, pastor emeritus of Church of the Immaculate Conception in Stony Point, entered eternal life on January 27, 2024, at age 82.

The Reverend Monsignor William J. Foley, pastor emeritus of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Stony Point, entered eternal life on January 27, 2024, at age 82. 

Born on September 2, 1941, in New York City, Monsignor Foley attended Holy Name School in Manhattan Valley. He attended St. Joseph’s Seminary and was ordained as a priest on May 27, 1967.

Monsignor Foley was parochial vicar at St. Brendan, the Bronx, and St. Francis de Sales, Manhattan, 1975-1984, and St. Joseph’s, Bronxville, 1984. He then served as pastor of St. John’s, Kingsbridge, the Bronx, 1984-1994; St. Augustine, New City, 1994-2006; St. Margaret of Cortona, the Bronx, 2006-2007; and pastor of Immaculate Conception, Stony Point, from 2007 to 2015. He retired in November 2015. He was named a monsignor in 1995.
