For 30 years she served as campus minister at Notre Dame Academy (NDA) in Staten Island. The school remembered Sister Anne in an Instagram post:

“A cherished member of the NDA community, Sister Anne touched the lives of students, faculty, and staff with her unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and compassionate service. For three decades, she served as NDA’s campus minister, where she led the Bell Choir, organized retreats, and was instrumental in planning all school liturgies. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and spiritual encouragement, and she could also be found at volleyball and basketball games, cheering on the students she loved so dearly.

“Sister Anne’s ministry extended beyond the NDA campus. She led many mission trips to Appalachia in Tennessee through Habitat for Humanity, and organized meals for Project Hospitality, inspiring countless students to serve others. She was also well-known for her enthusiastic participation in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, always embodying the values of courage and conviction.

“She was a woman of faith, joy, and boundless energy, and her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. One of her most cherished sayings was, ‘God is Good. All the time. All the time. God is Good,’ a reflection of her unwavering trust in God’s love and goodness.”

Staten Island’s SILive.com news website also noted Sister Anne’s passing.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk, Connecticut. Sister Anne was laid to rest privately.
“The peaceful response to a conflictual mentality that we see increasing in our city and in the world is especially important,” said event coordinator Paola Piscitelli.
