Our Lady of Fatima Pilgrim Statue Travels to Marian Shrine for 106th Anniversary of Apparitions

The National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima was at the Marian Shrine in Stony Point, NY on May 13 where Fr. Steve Shafran, SDB –Marian Shrine Coordinator of Mission, Ministry and Special Events -celebrated a special Mass in honor of the 106th Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima.

The statue was given to the United States by the Bishop of Fatima after being blessed by Pope St. Paul VI in 1967.

She was crowned by Cardinal Patrick O’Boyle at the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC in 1971.It has traveled around the country for nearly 70 years and continues its journeys to this day.
