Pope Emphasizes Remembrance and Hope at All Souls’ Day Mass

Marking the feast of All Souls, Pope Francis said this feast brings to mind the importance of remembrance and of hope.
Remembrance is also part of hope, he said, because it helps people look at the path they are taking and look ahead toward that final encounter “with the Lord and with everyone.
“The pontiff made the remarks during his homily at a Nov. 2 outdoor Mass at the Rome War Cemetery.
He also lamented the lives lost because of war and offered prayers for peace.
