On Saturday, January 28th, The Church of St. John-Visitation in the Bronx, NY, held a bilingual Memorial Mass to celebrate the life and legacy of the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI.
Prior to the Mass, the Church held its monthly Family Day, a day each month in which parents and children come together to learn about and rejoice in the traditions of the Church.
This month’s Family Day featured a presentation on Pope Benedict XVI, remembering him as a great teacher and writer of the Catholic Church.
Members of the community gathered in midtown Manhattan at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church to grieve the tragedy that took place just yards away at 345 Park Avenue.
