Teams from three East Coast seminaries visited St. Joseph’s Seminary during the weekend of February 1 for a day of fraternity, fellowship – and basketball.

Dunwoodie staff and seminarians welcomed teams from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Ambler, Pennsylvania, St. John’s Seminary in Boston, and the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception at Seton Hall University in Newark, New Jersey, for the second annual Northeast Regional Basketball Tournament.

The weekend’s event opened with the celebration of Mass, with Bishop of Rockville Centre John O. Barres as the principal celebrant, and Bishop James Massa, rector of St. Joseph’s Seminary, and others concelebrating.

After a full day of competition, the Saint Charles Borromeo team emerged victorious, claiming its second consecutive tournament win.
