St. Philip Neri Parish and School on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx celebrated the first day of school on Thursday and the opening of the Catholic Education and Family Center.
First year principal Amy Rowe welcomed new and returning students and greeted the parents as they arrived.
After a summer of renovations and innovations for the new Catholic Education and Family Center, she said they’re excited for this new school year to begin.
Both organizations rejoiced in the new pope’s U.S. roots and commitment to peace.
