“The Saints” creator, executive producer and director Matt Leshem, and project collaborator Father James Martin, spoke with The Good Newsroom about the docuseries produced by legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who also hosts and narrates the series which explores the lives and legacies of eight courageous saints in each episode.

With each episode focusing on a single saint, including Joan of Arc, John the Baptist, Sebastian, Maximilian Kolbe, Francis of Assisi, Thomas Becket, Mary Magdalene and Moses the Black, Scorsese traces more than 2,000 years of history, focusing on these extraordinary figures and their extreme acts of kindness, altruism and sacrifice.
