A Word from Cardinal Dolan: Images of the Holy Spirit

In his video this morning, Cardinal Dolan talks about the Hebrew word “Ruah” and its relationship to the Holy Spirit and Pentecost. God the Holy Spirit, by definition, is everywhere.

The Hebrew word for spirit in the Bible is “Ruah.” When you say that word, you let out breath. Wind, air, and breath have always been images of the Holy Spirit.
