Durante el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, resaltamos el trabajo y logros de artistas hispanos. Hoy, la actriz de raíces puertorriqueñas Liza Colón-Zayas, recientemente ganadora del Premio Emmy como Mejor Actriz de Reparto por su personaje en la serie “The Bear” y receptora del Premio HOLA José Ferrer Tespis por parte de la Organización Hispania de Actores Latinos, habla de su rol representando a la mujer latina y el significado especial de una medalla que en su familia ha pasado de generación en generación.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we highlight the work and achievements of Hispanic artists. Today, Puerto Rican actress Liza Colón-Zayas, who recently won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her character in the series “The Bear,” as well as the HOLA José Ferrer Tespis Award from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors, talks about her role as a representative of Latin women, and the special meaning of a medallion that has been passed down through her family.

Sister Marie deLourdes taught at schools throughout the Archdiocese of New York and in New Jersey.
