Recording of 1977 Lenten Mass at Newark's cathedral captures Sheen's call to unite prayer and action.

The Bronx native recalls the saint he knew before the Church did.

Bishop Louis Tylka of Blessed Sheen’s home diocese of Peoria, Ill., presented the relic to Archbishop Hicks and St. Patrick’s Cathedral just one week after Archbishop Sheen’s beatification.

Blessed Fulton Sheen's first-class relic arrives at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Thursday afternoon. A Mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m.

Bishop Tylka talks about Fulton Sheen’s historic beatification, its meaning for the Diocese of Peoria, and Sheen’s enduring impact on Catholics worldwide. He also talks about sharing Sheen’s relics with the Archdiocese of New York and the Diocese of Rochester, and Peoria’s vision for carrying his legacy forward.
