Father Daly entered eternal life on December 26, 2024. Among his assignments in the Archdiocese of New York, he became pastor of the Church of St. Teresa of Avila in North Tarrytown (now Sleepy Hollow) in 1984 and of Holy Cross, also in North Tarrytown, in 1986; he was pastor of both until 1991

Father Daly was born June 21, 1934, to the late Thomas I. and Evelyn (Burroughs) Daly. He studied for the priesthood at Cathedral College and St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, and was ordained on May 28, 1960.

Father Daly was a parochial vicar at The Magdalene in Pocantico Hills, 1960-1962, and St. Augustine’s in New City, 1962-1972. He served on the faculty of Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, 1972-1984. He became pastor of the Church of St. Teresa of Avila in North Tarrytown (now Sleepy Hollow) in 1984 and of Holy Cross, also in North Tarrytown, in 1986; he was pastor of both until 1991. He served as parochial vicar at St. John the Evangelist in White Plains from 1991 until retiring in 2001, when he moved to Stepinac. He later resided at the John Cardinal O’Connor Residence in the Bronx, and celebrated his golden jubilee in 2010.
