Bridging Generations: NYPD Explorers Light Up Bingo Night at ArchCare at Providence Rest

| 03/31/2025

By: Mary Shovlain

Once a month, NYPD Explorers visit ArchCare at Providence Rest in the Bronx for an evening of pizza, bingo, and connection with residents. On March 26, the tradition continued as teens in uniform brought laughter, stories, and companionship to the seniors—many of whom eagerly await the visit each month. What began as a simple community service event has grown into a heartwarming exchange of joy across generations.

The talk will be given by Robert Miller, associate professor of Theology and Religious Studies.
