Lent: Friday Reflections From the Sisters of Life

In the final installment of our five-part Lenten reflection series with the Sisters of Life, Sister Pia Jude invites us to contemplate “the desire to be known.”

Drawing from Jesus’ powerful words in the Gospel, “You know me and also know where I am from” (John 7:28), Sister Pia Jude reflects on the deep human longing to be truly seen and understood. She reminds us that this desire is not only ours, but one that Jesus shares, revealing His own heart and identity as the Son of the living God.

As we prepare to conclude our Lenten journey, Sister Pia encourages us to bring our whole selves to prayer—not just the surface, but the very core of who we are—so that Christ may meet us there and reveal who we truly are: beloved sons and daughters of the Father.
