On Friday, June 13, St. Anthony of Padua Church in the Bronx will celebrate the saint’s liturgic feast day with the presence of a first-degree relic, offered by the Conventual Franciscans of the United States. The Holy Eucharist will be distributed at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Holy Hour.
The group is named for two patrons with causes for canonization underway: Staten Island's Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, and Sister Thea Bowman.
