Amid the skyscrapers of Lower Manhattan, Saint Peter’s Church continues to shine as a living link to New York’s earliest Catholic roots. On October 5, Archdiocese of New York Auxiliary Bishop Edmund Whalen, vicar for clergy, celebrated 240 years of faith, history, and community at the state’s first Catholic parish.
