More than 300 priests from the National Association of Filipino Priests came together at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to celebrate the enthronement of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the Patron saint of the Philippines.
The Mass was celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New York, Bishop Edmund Whalen. It was the first time the association gathered in person since COVID.
San Lorenzo is now enshrined next to Saint Rose of Lima, the patroness of the Philippines, where they will both reside and inspire the thousands that visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral each day.
