Archbishop Ronald Hicks, Archbishop of New York, will participate in his first Holy Week and Easter observances since his installation on February 6, 2026. The archbishop will be the main celebrant and homilist at each liturgy.

At Saturday’s Easter Vigil, the archbishop will baptize and welcome nine new members of the Catholic Church. In all, more than 3,600 people will be baptized and receive the sacraments of communion and confirmation in the parishes of the archdiocese at this year’s Easter Vigils. This is part of a nationwide trend that has seen record numbers of individuals entering the Church and receiving these sacraments of initiation.

The archbishop will celebrate and preach at the following liturgies at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.

Holy Thursday, April 2, 5:30 p.m.: Mass of the Lord’s Supper

Good Friday, April 3, 3:30 p.m.: Good Friday Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death

Holy Saturday, April 4, 8 p.m.: Easter Vigil

Easter Sunday, April 5, 10 a.m.: Easter Sunday Mass

The Knights of Columbus has always stood in solidarity with the Holy Father, recognizing in him a spiritual father who calls the world not to division, but to unity, not to conflict, but to peace. In this moment, we reaffirm that commitment with clarity and conviction.
