Today we celebrate the Annunciation of Our Lord, sometimes called the Annunciation to Mary. It’s filled with improbability, suspense, surprise, and humility. It’s a story of a woman who said yes and changed the course of the world. As we celebrate this feast day, we remember that Mary’s yes was a simple word that transformed the hearts of many people and brought hope and salvation to a world waiting in darkness.
