A Word from Cardinal Dolan: All Hallows Eve

| 10/31/2024

By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

In his video today, Cardinal Dolan recounts the history of Halloween.

Also known as All Hallows Eve, today was traditionally celebrated as the day before All Saints Day.

The vicar general of the archdiocese called on the faithful to be icons of God as St. Patrick’s Cathedral marked Stand Up Sunday.

The forthcoming revised Liturgy will be published in stages, beginning on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Tras el Ángelus de ayer, los fieles podrán verlo de nuevo el miércoles por la mañana durante la audiencia general.
