A Word from Cardinal Dolan: Saint Philip Neri

| 05/26/2023

By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

Today Cardinal Dolan talks about Saint Philip Neri whose feast we celebrate today.

He’s often called the second father of the Church of Rome.

In the 16th Century, he won the Romans back to the faith and one of the major reasons was because he was a man of joy.

"As our state enters this new era of assisted death on demand, the Bishops ask all New Yorkers to pray for those facing difficult health crises, depression, disability, and the end-of-life. They also ask for prayers that our state citizens reject the Culture of Death and embrace a Culture of Life," said Dennis Poust, executive director of NYSCC.
