On Ash Wednesday, Archbishop Ronald Hicks made his first ecumenical visit since his installation as Archbishop of New York, joining leaders at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church to highlight Christian unity in service to those on the margins.
Meeting with Senior Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Scott Black Johnston, the archbishop emphasized collaboration among Christian churches and participated in A Place at the Table, an ecumenical outreach partnership providing essential services to neighbors in need.
The visit underscored the importance of focusing on shared mission rather than differences, particularly at the beginning of Lent, a season marked by repentance, renewal, and solidarity in Christ.

The Knights of Columbus has always stood in solidarity with the Holy Father, recognizing in him a spiritual father who calls the world not to division, but to unity, not to conflict, but to peace. In this moment, we reaffirm that commitment with clarity and conviction.
