Archbishop Ronald A. Hicks, Archbishop of New York, will celebrate a special Memorial Mass to mark the 25^th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.

Bishop Robert Brennan, Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, will be among the concelebrating bishops and priests.

The Mass is by invitation only. However, the ceremony will be livestreamed at https://www.saintpatrickscathedral.org/live.

Invited to attend the Mass include family members and loved ones of those who lost their lives on 9/11 or have died from 9/11 related illnesses in the years that have followed, current and past civic leaders and office holders, and representatives of NYPD Family Assistance section, the FDNY Family Assistance unit, the Port Authority Police Department, court officers, and uniformed current members of the NYPD, PAPD, and FDNY.

Saint Patrick’s Cathedral played a critical role in the days and weeks following 9/11. Cardinal Edward Egan celebrated countless memorial and funeral Masses, most notably the Memorial Masses on September 16 and September 17, 2001, that were televised around the world. In addition, many of those who perished that tragic day had their funeral Mass at the Cathedral.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan celebrated special Masses marking the 10^th and 20^th anniversaries of September 11. Archbishop Hicks is proud to be able to carry on this noble tradition.
