Archbishop Ronald Hicks Visits ArchCare’s Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center

On Monday, Sept. 28, Archbishop Ronald A. Hicks visited ArchCare’s Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center in East Harlem for the first time. The Archbishop of New York met residents in the facility’s Huntington unit, the Mother Cabrini Specialty Hospital for adults and children with special needs, and the center’s new PACE facility for all-inclusive care for older adults.
Sr. Constance Gaynor, FSP, devoted seven decades to serving the vulnerable as a social worker, administrator, and author of her congregation’s history. A founding member of the Franciscan Sisters of Peace, she led children’s homes, directed the Religious Leaders Program at Notre Dame, and taught English to immigrants well into her 90s.
