NEW YORK— ArchCare at San Vicente de Paúl Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, part of the Continuum of Care Community of the Archdiocese of New York, is included on Newsweek‘s “Best Nursing Homes 2024” list for the fourth consecutive year.

Ranking number 20 among New York facilities, San Vicente de Paúl offers short-term rehabilitation for those recovering from serious injury, illness, or surgery, along with long-term care that provides extended support and assistance for seniors who can no longer perform everyday activities. This ranking further illustrates the dedication to the residents and staff and the high standards of care ArchCare consistently exhibits.

This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc. Newsweek‘s “Best Nursing Homes 2024” ranking lists the nation’s leading nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The rankings are a result of a comprehensive evaluation based on five data sources. These include nursing home performance, accreditations from the Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, resident satisfaction data, medical professionals’ surveys, and the facility’s response and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. San Vicente de Paúl’s commitment to excellence places it among the nation’s top-tier facilities.

ArchCare at San Vicente de Paúl stands as a holistic institution for seniors, offering a comprehensive range of services designed to create a supportive environment that reflects ArchCare’s Continuum of Care. The facility’s Assisted Living Program is tailored for individuals with disabilities who seek to maintain their independence while requiring additional assistance with daily activities. Eligible residents benefit from services provided through San Vicente de Paúl’s Licensed Home Care Service Agency, extending well beyond the offerings of typical enriched living or adult home settings. In addition to the Assisted Living Program, San Vicente de Paúl provides Independent Living services, fostering a self-sufficient and vibrant community for seniors.

Another service offered at San Vicente de Paúl is ArchCare’s Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center, known as ArchCare Senior Life. This managed long-term care plan is a Medicaid/Medicare program designed specifically for adults 55 and older requiring nursing home-level care but who wish to remain at home. ArchCare Senior Life provides a dedicated interdisciplinary team to coordinate all aspects of care, allowing older adults to comfortably age in place. Participants in the PACE program can visit wellness centers dedicated to their care for medical services, meals, social and recreational activities, and more, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive commitment to their well-being. This holistic approach emphasizes San Vicente de Paúl’s commitment to providing seamless, personalized care and supporting seniors at every stage of life.

“At San Vicente de Paúl, our commitment is to create an environment where seniors receive compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized care. We take pride in offering a range of services that support their unique needs, allowing them to age with dignity and independence. This recognition on Newsweek‘s ‘Best Nursing Homes 2024’ list reaffirms our ongoing commitment to excellence and the well-being of our residents,” said Shennoy Roberts, executive director of San Vicente de Paúl.
