The Gospel is very powerful today. Did you notice how Jesus was moved by the sight of the dead son being carried out for burial?
He was thinking about Good Friday and Easter.
In this in-between stretch of Ordinary Time, between the high feast of Christmas and the solemn preparation of Lent, we find ourselves in a new place as we settle into the New Year.
