Funds raised during the event will support students in Catholic schools with scholarships and enrichment programs.

"It will open new scholarship opportunities for children whose parents have chosen a religious or independent school," said Dennis Poust, executive director of the New York State Catholic Conference.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan visited Sts. John and Paul School in Larchmont on Friday where he toured classrooms, greeted students and teachers, and celebrated Mass with the school community.

Archbishop emphasizes that Catholic education is rooted in a living relationship with Christ and a Church called to serve.

The archbishop brings a message to Staten Island's largest Catholic high school: "God is in charge."
