Parish announces tuition assistance to support students’ continuation of Catholic education.

"The Catholic Church teaches that parents are the first and primary educators of our children, and that parents have the obligation of educating their children in the manner best suited for their development and needs," the bishop said.

"You’ve got a great place here,” Cardinal Timothy Dolan tells alumni and students.

Nearly two-thirds of students reach proficiency in English and math, outpacing New York City public schools.

"Jesus said a city built on a hilltop cannot be hidden... Sacred Heart Parish and Sacred Heart Schools are built on a hilltop, and Jesus would be happy because we can't hide," Cardinal Dolan said.
