Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland announced on Friday, November 14, that its first Fall Harvest Fundraiser successfully exceeded its goal of $3,000 and raised $4,655 to support neighbors in need. The community came together in a show of generosity to cultivate hope, with donations of all sizes to help provide food for Rockland families in need.

“From the smallest donation to the largest, every dollar truly makes a difference,” said Dan Eudene, executive director at Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to helping us cultivate hope for those who need it most.”

Funds raised will directly support CCCSR’s mission of nourishing local families who depend on its food pantry, the only one in Rockland with a working vegetable garden on site. Each year, the Garden of Love produces more than 2,000 pounds of fresh vegetables distributed to Rockland residents, thanks to the ongoing partnership with St. Ann’s Parish, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener program.

The success of this year’s fundraiser demonstrates the power of community compassion. Those who wish to continue supporting Rocklanders in need can make donations year-round by visiting www.ccrockland.org.
