La Misa se celebró el 2 de mayo en la Catedral de San Patricio en honor a las 233 personas que perdieron la vida en la discoteca Jet Set de Santo Domingo, así como a los afectados por esta tragedia. Monseñor Espaillat aseguró el apoyo y cercanía con los impactados por el suceso. Monseñor Kevin Sullivan, director ejecutivo de Caridades Católicas NY, estuvo presente, así como monseñor Santiago Rodríguez, obispo de la Diócesis de San Pedro de Macorís, en República Dominicana. También estuvieron presentes dignatarios, incluyendo el congresista Adriano Espaillat, el comisionado del Departamento de Transporte de Nueva York, Ydanis Rodríguez, y el cónsul general de la República Dominicana en Nueva York, Jesús Antonio Vásquez Martínez.

The Mass was celebrated on May 2 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in honor of the 233 people who lost their lives at the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo, as well as those affected by this tragedy. Bishop Espaillat assured those impacted by the event of support and closeness. Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities NY, concelebrated the Mass, along with Bishop Santiago Rodríguez from the Diocese of San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. Dignitaries including Congressman Adriano Espaillat, New York Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez, and the Consul General of the Dominican Republic in New York, Jesus Antonio Vasquez Martinez, were also present.
