La celebración eucarística se llevó a cabo el 22 de junio de 2025, oficiada por el Reverendo Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez, de la Diócesis de Brooklyn, y el Diácono Carlos Campoverde, de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York.
El evento, realizado en la Catedral de San Patricio en Manhattan, reunió a feligreses y familias de la comunidad ecuatoriana e hispanoamericana del área tri-estatal con el propósito de rendir homenaje a la Virgen del Rocío, originaria de la población de Biblián, Ecuador, una advocación mariana muy venerada en esa región.
Matteo Bruni, director of the Holy See Press Office, did not confirm the documents' authenticity but said they "presumably concern part of one of the documents on which the decision was based" to restrict use of the pre-Vatican II Latin Mass.
