Lebanon is called the “The Pearl of the Middle East.”
But today, the country is facing several crises including escalating violence with Israel, a crippling economic crisis, as well as an ever-growing influx of refugees.
The Good Newsroom recently spoke with a contemplative nun, Sister Rafqa, from Lebanon who is based here in New York with her congregation, the Order of the Monastic Sisters of Bethlehem of the Assumption of the Virgin and of Saint Bruno in Livingston Manor.
We asked her how she finds hope at a time when things seem so dark.
