Born in Mexico, Father Obregón has worked on three continents for over 15 years and is currently serving in Rye, New York. As a member of the Legionaries of Christ, he is passionate about educating young people.
In response to St. John Paul II’s call for a new evangelization, he has created various platforms and written books to help him reach a wider audience. As part of the Jubilee of Digital Missionaries and Catholic Influencers on July 28-29, The Good Newsroom spoke with him about his ability to embrace the digital age while maintaining a focus on the Church’s timeless teachings.
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand championed the initiative to modernize the agency’s flagship community center, with U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer playing a key role in negotiations surrounding the funding bill.
