Thrive for Life Prison Project, a ministry for all people affected by incarceration and detention, presented a special concert at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in April during Lent.
Musician Paul Cortez, able to cultivate his passion for music behind bars, created a beautiful composition based on Jesus’ anguish in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Jesus offers three paths that the Church has embraced as ways of going deeper into the spiritual life during this Lenten season: almsgiving, prayer, and fasting. Archbishop Hicks looks at the reason why.
