I am pleased to report that in 2024, The Good Newsroom lived up to its mission of highlighting the good works of the Catholic Church in our area. The year was significant for our team as we covered events of the Archdiocese of New York. We published over 2,000 stories about our shared faith, charity for those in need, and our ministries, such as the archdiocesan healthcare ministry, ArchCare, and the arts and cultural center, the Sheen Center. Many of our stories focused on Catholic Schools and Catholic Charities of New York. We also featured narratives about our parishes and religious groups.

It was a priority for us to show how the faithful in our area participated in the Synod Interim Listening Sessions, in the Seton Route of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, and in the National Eucharistic Congress in Indiana. We covered numerous Hispanic Masses throughout the year, and once again, were heavily involved in documenting the largest of these, the Our Lady of Guadalupe procession and Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
