New York Pilgrims Reflect on Faith and History in Rome After Pope Francis’ Death

Cardinal Timothy Dolan hosted a special luncheon on Sunday for 200 pilgrims from the Archdiocese of New York at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, where he once served as rector. The gathering took place during a historic period following the death of Pope Francis, offering pilgrims a chance to reflect and pray together.

The event included remarks from Cardinal Dolan and the current rector, Monsignor Thomas Powers, highlighting the deep ties between the Archdiocese of New York and the Roman college. Pilgrims shared their experiences of faith and their memories of Pope Francis.

Pope Leo XIV took time to celebrate the 250th anniversary of his home country after a morning visit to Lampedusa.
