El sábado 9 de marzo, la Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos de San Meinrad organizó por décimo año el Día de Servicio de San Meinrad en 12 ciudades, incluyendo Nueva York. El servicio se realizó en la Iglesia de Santa Brígida – San Emerico en el East Village, donde voluntarios brindaron mantas de rescate de emergencia a inmigrantes y solicitantes de asilo.
On Saturday, March 9, the St. Meinrad Alumni Association hosted its tenth annual St. Meinrad Day of Service in 12 cities, including New York. The service was held at St. Brigid – St. Emeric Church in the East Village, where volunteers provided emergency rescue blankets to immigrants and asylum seekers.
In a letter to pastors, principals, and school leaders, Sister Mary Grace Walsh, ASCJ, Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools, emphasized the continuing nature of the work.
